Open Source

Your tools shouldn't hold you hostage.

Miru is open source, MIT-licensed, and self-hostable. The code is on GitHub and always will be. No vendor lock-in. No surprises.

No vendor lock-in.

Your data lives on your servers if you want it to. Export it anytime. Move it anywhere. It's yours.

Community-driven.

Features come from real users, not a product roadmap designed to upsell you. Contribute code, report bugs, shape the product.

Deploy anywhere.

Docker, bare metal, cloud. Your infrastructure, your rules. Full deployment guides included.

SaaS shouldn’t mean surrendering control

Most business tools lock you in. Your data lives on their servers, under their terms, at their prices. If they raise prices or shut down, you’re stuck.

Open source means you’re in control

Miru’s entire codebase is on GitHub under the MIT license. You can read every line of code. You can self-host it on your own servers. You can fork it and customize it for your specific needs.

This isn’t open-core with premium features hidden behind a paywall. The full product — time tracking, invoicing, expenses, reports, team management, payments — is open source.

The community drives development. Feature requests come from real users. Bug reports get addressed by the team and contributors. The roadmap is public.

Want to contribute? The codebase is Ruby on Rails and React. Setup guides are available for macOS, Windows, Ubuntu, and Docker. Pull requests are welcome.
